Gatorboard is a rugged, durable 3/16 inch thick board that resists dents and punctures for prints up to 30" x 40", which unlike a foam board backing or card stock, is not susceptible to bashing in on the corners. The exceptionally hard, smooth surface is uniform and blemish free. It is the best backing to use for the transportation of mounted prints which are NOT intended to be placed into a frame for display. In most cases, such prints are matte laminated with a clear plastic material over the surface of the image for ultra violet protection and as a safeguard against other disasters such as coffee spills.
